NBA 2K22 Player Ratings Update: Trae Young Joins 90 Club, Kevin Durant Drops

The latest NBA 2K22 player ratings are in! Based on the update, Trae Young has moved into a star-studded club. The Atlanta Hawks All-Star continues to look good in his third season, grabbing a spot in 2K22’s 90 OVR Club. Several other stars, including Julius Randle, are having a rough time, and hence saw a ratings downgrade. Let’s check out who’s on the rise and who is slipping in the world of 2K22.

Trae Young reaches 90 in NBA 2K22 player ratings

With a 13-12 record right now, the Hawks find themselves still amongst playoff hopefuls with plenty of season left. A big reason they’ll likely make the playoffs is their star point guard, Trae Young with his team-leading 26.3 points and 9.4 assists per game. Young continues to shine after winning Rookie of the Year just a few seasons ago.

In the NBA 2K22 video game player ratings, he was rewarded for his continued excellence on the court with a one-point boost to become a 90 overall. Among the players he joins there are Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, two of the highest-rated players in the game right now.

The Dallas Mavericks’ Kristaps Porzingis also got a boost. His return to the court has been a positive for the Mavs. Through 15 games this season, Porzingis is averaging 19.7 points, eight rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game. The Mavs are seventh in the Western Conference standings with an 11-11 record and can thank Porzingis for his contributions.

In the latest update, he received a two-point boost to an 85 overall, putting him closer to his superstar teammate Luka Doncic, a 93 OVR in the game.

The Golden State Warriors are amongst the best teams in the NBA as of right now, with just a handful of losses. They recently brought the Phoenix Suns’ lengthy winning streak to a halt, showing they could be a team to beat when it comes to the Western Conference playoffs.

While they await the return of Klay Thompson, their other stars have been putting in the work. Draymond Green was the recipient of a three-point boost to his 2K22 rating, making him an 83 overall right now. That put him a point above teammate Andrew Wiggins. Golden State also has the top-rated player in the game. See more on that below.

Ratings downgrades arrive for Randle, Middleton, and Durant

Not all players are performing as well as they have in previous efforts. Among the players downgraded for the NBA 2K22 player ratings are the Knicks’ Julius Randle, and Bucks’ Khris Middleton. Randle slid down two points to become an 84 overall in the latest update, while Middleton is down two to an 85 OVR.

Rookie Cade Cunningham is still trying to heat up, as he also fell by two points to become a 78 OVR. As of this report, the 2022 Rookie of the Year race still has him as top contender, but he’s in a tie with Scottie Barnes who shined early this season.

2K released an entire team-by-team look at the ratings update. It also shows that Kevin Durant quietly dropped by a point to a 96 overall. That means that Stephen Curry is now on top as the highest-rated player in the game at a 97. Check out the full 2K ratings here.

The NBA 2K22 game is currently available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs.
