Chrishell Stause debuts brunette hair at People’s Choice Awards 2021

And the award for most unexpected hair transformation goes to…

Chrishell Stause debuted brunette locks Tuesday night while walking the carpet for E!’s 2021 People’s Choice Awards.

The “Selling Sunset” star, 40 — who is known for her thick, honey-blonde tresses — rocked a darker ‘do with a middle part. She paired her updated hair with a red-hot gown by Genny that featured a plunging neckline and sexy cutouts.

Hours prior, the soap actress-turned-realtor teased her makeover on her Instagram Story. “Let the fun begin!” Stause captioned a video of the rich color being mixed by celebrity hairstylist Bradley Leake.

The “Under Construction” author’s brown locks were met with mostly positive reactions from social media users.

Meanwhile, a portion of fans admitted that they already miss the “All My Children” alum’s golden mane.

“Chrishell wyd bb girl?? You know you’re meant to be blonde!” one person wrote in an Instagram comment.

Stause’s decision to go dark comes weeks after “Selling Sunset” Season 4 premiered.

The latest installment of the hit Netflix reality series sees the Oppenheim Group agent relishing in her independence and buying her first home after finalizing her divorce from “This Is Us” actor Justin Hartley in January.

“I was excited about sharing the future and where I’m at now, ’cause I’m in such a better place,” she recently told Elle. “I think it wouldn’t have done it justice if I didn’t fully explain why [buying my own home] meant so much to me.”

The Kentucky native — who was homeless at certain points in her adolescence — elaborated, “So I think it was really nice and cathartic to be able to share with everybody just how big this was for me.”

Stause’s romance with her boss Jason Oppenheim is expected to play out on Season 5 of “Selling Sunset.”

“We became best friends and no matter what happens in the future, whether that’s aligned or not, I think that we’ll always have that friendship,” she told the magazine of her relationship. “That’s what felt safe about sharing it with people, because I didn’t have that fear, because this is real life.”

“Selling Sunset” is available to stream on Netflix.
