Continuing to make moves in the recruiting class for 2022, Arizona Football has flipped former Utah State offensive line commit, Jacob Reece.

It has been a busy off-season for Arizona Football now that the 2021 season is officially over, and already the Wildcats are making quick work as they have secured another commitment for 2022, this time it is former Utah State offensive line commit, Jacob Reece (Brighton High School – Salt Lake City, UT).

For the past couple of months, Arizona had been pursuing Reece hard, giving him an offer back in September. However, his recruitment began to heat up once he de-committed from the Aggies back on November 23.

Well, on Tuesday afternoon Jacob found his new home as he officially committed to the Wildcats, making his decision known via social media.

Picking Arizona over an offer from Utah State, he becomes the 16th commitment in the class for the Wildcats, and he addresses a major area of need.

Coming into this off-season, Arizona Football desperately needed help along the offensive line, and the Wildcats wasted no time by adding Jacob Reece.

Joining fellow offensive line commits Grayson Stovall (Hamilton High School – Chandler, AZ) and Jonah Savaiinaea (St. Louis High School – Honolulu, HI), Reece brings continued depth and talent to the offensive line, and again, he addresses a major area of need for the Cats.

So what are the Wildcats getting in Reece?

Standing a reported 6-feet-5 and 295 pounds, Jacob is a big kid with big upside and on film, he shows all the intangibles you could want from an offensive lineman.

Lining up mostly at left tackle, Reece is a player that could move to an interior line position. He possesses explosive power, he comes off the line of scrimmage well, and he also shows great hands and footwork, packing one hell of a punch once he initiates contact with the defender.

He sometimes gets a little too tall in his stance, but overall, he has the skills to be a good lineman for the Wildcats in the future.
