Many of the biggest names in film, television and music turned out for the fan-voted 2021 People’s Choice Awards at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. on Tuesday evening.

Hosted by “Saturday Night Live” mainstay Kenan Thompson, the People’s Choice Awards honor the year’s top productions across entertainment and pop culture. Cardi B will present this year’s people’s icon award to Halle Berry, whose directorial debut “Bruised” recently released on Netflix. Berry arrived in a shimmering purple jumpsuit to the ceremony. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also set to be honored with the people’s champion award at the event. Christina Aguilera will receive the awards body’s inaugural music icon award from Becky G. Additionally, Kim Kardashian West will be honored with the fashion icon award.

Nominees for this year’s awards include Adele, Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, Coldplay, the Jonas Brothers and BTS. On the film side, a slew of blockbusters that includes “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” “F9: The Fast Saga” and “Dune” are competing for top honors. TV shows nominated include “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Bachelor” and “WandaVision.” This year’s show includes 44 categories across various branches of the entertainment industry.

This year also marks the first time that the People’s Choice Awards will air live on NBC. The show will be simultaneously broadcast on E!. The broadcast is set to unfold from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT. Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski return to produce the telecast.
