On Monday, the Tennessee Titans designated former Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones to return from injured reserve.

With his return to practice and hopefully Sunday's game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars comes fantasy relevance. Jones' first season with his new team has not gone as planned.

He struggled out of the gates with the Titans, but showed flashes of his big play ability. However, it was clear he had taken a back seat to A.J. Brown on a run-first team. That sank his value in fantasy football.

Jones was drafted in the early to mid rounds of most fantasy drafts, with the hopes that he would see the most single coverage he had ever seen on a high-octane offense. It got so bad for Jones though, he was dropped in a lot of fantasy football leagues.

Jones has not played since Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams. But this will be the first game this season where Jones will have to be the top option. The Titans lost All Pro running back Derrick Henry for the rest of the regular season with a foot injury.

Then, the Titans placed A.J. Brown on injured reserve prior to their Week 12 game against New England. Brown is not eligible to return until at least Week 15. There is no guarantee he will return that week either.

That places Jones back on the fantasy football map, simply out of necessity. The Titans season has been slipping away as their offense has looked worse and worse amid all the injuries. One has to think that quarterback Ryan Tannehill will look Jones' way quite often Sunday.

Six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown is easily attainable for the future Hall of Fame wide receiver.
