A Webster native is part of a new sitcom premiering Tuesday on 13WHAM ABC.
The comedy is a mock-u-mentary about life in public schools.
Chris Perfetti plays history teacher Jacob Hill in the new comedy, "Abbott Elementary."
"Abbott Elementary is about a group of rag-tag teachers who are trying to do nothing less than save the world. It's about the minutia and hilarity of every day life in a public school," he said.
Pefetti's mom told 13WHAM her son got the acting bug early in life and it continued into his high school yeard.
"When I think back I remember at 3 yearsold when I'd pick him up from daycare, he tried to get all these little kids together to put on plays and shows and stuff," said Ann Gabriele.
"It's just a big deal, I guess, that the little small town outside of Rochester - it says a lot because he's had some really good mentors here in the Webster school district," she said.
Abbott Elementary premieres at 9:30 p.m. on 13WHAM ABC.
