The Pogues are coming back! Netflix has renewed its hit teen drama Outer Banks for a third season. The renewal comes about four months after the show’s sophomore season premiered on July 30; a premiere date for Season 3 hasn’t been set.

Created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke, Outer Banks follows a tight-knit gorup of North Carolina teens as they hunt for treasure and navigate the tense rivalry between the wealthy Kooks and the working-class Pogues. Season 2 found star-crossed lovers John B. (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) on the run in the Bahamas, with friends and foes alike both still searching for $400 million in gold.

Outer Banks Season 1 premiered amid the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming an escapist hit for the screener. According to Netflix, Season 2 became the streamer’s No. 1 most-watched English language series worldwide for four weeks after its July premiere.

Creators Burke and the Pate brothers will return as showrunners and executive producers. Series regulars Stokes, Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten will return for Season 3. Fans can also look forward to seeing more of Cleo, since actress Carlacia Grant has been promoted to a series regular and will also be back.

Both seasons of Outer Banks are streaming on Netflix now.
