Connauton was grabbed off the waiver wire by the Flyers from the Panthers on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Connauton has appeared in just 13 games for Florida this season, going pointless with 14 shots, 28 hits and nine blocks while averaging just 12:01 of ice time. The decision to pick up Connauton and add to the organizational depth likely doesn't bode well for the imminent return of Ryan Ellis (lower body).
