An Amazon outage is affecting not only thousands of online shoppers, but also video streamers and Alexa users across the nation Tuesday.

Amazon's business services, e-commerce, web hosting and Prime Video, are all offline, according to DownDetector.com.

At least 25,000 reports have been filed regarding outages on Amazon.com, and 11,000 more reports have been filed about Amazon Web Services, which provides remote and cloud computing services for other businesses.

The outage is affecting services including Prime Video, Disney+, Ring, Alexa, Instacart, Venmo, Tinder and others.

Amazon's official status page confirmed an outage in the "US-EAST-1 Region."

"This issue is also affecting some of our monitoring and incident response tooling, which is delaying our ability to provide updates," the statement reads. "We have identified the root cause and are actively working towards recovery."

As the problem is focused in the east region, it's possible that not everyone is experiencing outage issues.
