Emmerdale lines up Christmas proposal storyline for Kim Tate

Emmerdale is lining up a big Christmas proposal for Kim Tate, as she receives a sudden festive declaration of love from Will Taylor.

Will (Dean Andrews) has been involved in an on-off relationship with Kim (Claire King), but her recent decision to leave the village to see whether she could live with herself before committing to him has left Will in close quarters with Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), who has been hoping for a chance at romance with Will herself.

As Will finds himself caught between the two women, the situation comes to a head when Christmas morning dawns at Home Farm.

As the festive celebrations begin, Bernice gives Will a hopeful smile and he feels the pressure to make a decision – does he really want to be with Bernice or Kim?

Later in the day, Will takes a walk with Kim and, as they approach Malone's secret grave, he is very alarmed to find the earth freshly dug up.

Will worries that Kim could have overheard an incriminating conversation between him and Bernice and that the grave tampering might be Kim, who knows the shocking secret about his moving the body, taking her revenge on him.

However, he's in for a surprise when Kim reveals that she removed Malone's body from the grave so that Will no longer feels tethered to her, telling him that he now has the freedom to decide whether he sticks around at Home Farm or leaves.

Will appears to be deeply touched by Kim's gesture and it later becomes clear that he has made his decision between her and Bernice, as he gets down on one knee and proposes to Kim.

What will Kim say – and how will Bernice react when she finds out what has happened?
