FTISLAND Minhwan and Yulhee Reveal Who Manages Their Finances at Home

Recently on December 5, former LABOUM member Yulhee uploaded a new video on her Youtube channel, which features husband and FTISLAND member Minhwan in the second part of their Q&A video, where they took the time to answer questions sent in by their subscribers and fans.

During the video, one of the questions asked to the married couple was, "Who manages the finances in your home?"

To this, Yulhee revealed that it used to be her that managed their finances for two or three years. However, she recently passed on the financial duties to Minhwan and would receive their monthly living expenses from him instead, noting how she preferred it that way.

While on the topic, Yulhee also talked about how she didn't have money in her bank account during the time she got married. "I had no money in my bank account at the time we got married. I didn't earn any money as LABOUM, so I used to get my pocket money from my parents. It was also very little. I got just enough for me to treat myself to some drinks and snacks," Yulhee said.

Yulhee also revealed that Minhwan had asked her to manage his finances years ago, and that it made her scared. "I had never had that much money in my hands, so I felt pressured by it and got headaches. Now that it [duty] is out of my hands, I feel much more at ease," Yulhee explained.

Minhwan Shares Why He Wanted Yulhee to Manage Their Finances

Following that, Minhwan then shared the reason he decided to have Yulhee manage their finances, despite his wife's reluctance.

According to Minhwan, Yulhee had told him that she didn't want to take over the responsibility of managing their finances at home. However, Minhwan felt like he needed to give the responsibility to her.

"I convinced her to do it. During that time, Yulhee had low self-esteem and depression after being pregnant with Jae Yul due to experiencing changes in her body," Minhwan said.

He continued, "I wanted her to feel happier and regain confidence by looking through the numbers in our bank account. I also don't want her to feel like she was less than her friends due to the money while she was spending time with them."

Yulhee chimed in, saying that while she did feel pressure as she was only used to managing her own money, being responsible for their finances did help her regarding her self-esteem. However, she added that finance isn't her thing, and that Minhwan being in charge of it is better.
