KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) —
The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Kanawha County is just shy of 500 with another death reported by health officials on Monday.

Kanawha-Charleston Health Department officials in a news release confirmed the death of a 57-year-old man who was unvaccinated, bringing the county’s death total to 494.
Active cases are down 65 and are at 508. Recoveries are up 135, with a total of 26,647 reported during the pandemic.

There has been a total of 27,649 coronavirus cases during the pandemic. Of those, 22,926 are confirmed and 4,723 are probable.
