VIDEO: Incident prompts large police presence at Oakland Mall in Troy

Several WWJ tipsters reported seeing police cars "fly by" on their way to the scene.

TROY, Mich. (WWJ) – There was a large police presence at the Oakland Mall in Troy Monday evening.

Police have not revealed many details, but did confirm to WWJ there was an incident at the mall -- near 14 Mile and John R Roads.

Police said the scene had been cleared around 8 p.m.

While it was not clear what prompted the scene, multiple WWJ tipsters reported seeing upwards of 20 police vehicles and that a portion of the parking lot was cleared out around 8:15 p.m.

Video on social media shows the scene from afar.

Multiple Twitter users told WWJ’s Zach Clark they saw the vehicles outside the Sportsman’s Warehouse store. One user said they “saw them fly by us.”

Another tipster told the WWJ newsroom police cars were "coming from every direction."

It's unknown what the incident entailed.

It was not clear whether anyone was taken into custody.
