Alabama football fans were irate on behalf of Crimson Tide linebacker Will Anderson, who was snubbed as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Alabama football fans had reason to celebrate the release of the Heisman Trophy finalists with quarterback Bryce Young looking like the favorite among the four.

Monday evening brought a wave of mixed emotions though. That’s because Will Anderson was a Heisman snub.

Along with Young, voters are sending finalists Kenny Pickett, C.J. Stroud and Aidan Hutchinson to New York.

Will Anderson’s Heisman snub had Alabama fans up in arms

Crimson Tide fans and plenty of media are not okay with that one, especially since Anderson’s statistics bettered Hutchinson’s at Michigan.

A few people think Anderson being snubbed is bad news for Cincinnati.

Anderson will have to be content knowing his season was one of the all-time greats for a linebacker. He led the nation with 32.5 tackles for loss. Utah’s Devin Lloyd was closest to him with 22 on the year.

Anderson ended up with 91 tackles and 15.5 sacks to go along with his legendary TFL numbers.

The Heisman Trophy will be awarded on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The next time fans will get to see Anderson is when the Crimson Tide take on Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
