(WWJ) – As the investigation into the deadly Oxford High School shooting continues, authorities have executed a search warrant at the home of Andrzej Sikora, the man who owns the Detroit art studio where James and Jennifer Crumbley were arrested on Saturday.

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies searched the 65-year-old artist’s home early Monday evening, and attorney Clarence Dass, who is representing Sikora, says the only things investigators took were “a couple of iPhones and a couple tablets.”

The Crumbleys, parents of accused shooter Ethan Crumbley, were arrested in a commercial building in the 1100 block of Bellevue, near the Detroit Riverfront early Saturday morning. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the commercial building is linked to Sikora and reports say they were in a studio owned by the artist.

The couple's arrest came hours after they were charged with four counts each of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting.

Police said after the arrest the owner of the studio, later identified as Sikora, could be facing possible charges of aiding and abetting or obstruction of justice.

Investigators interviewed Sikora for roughly two hours Monday about the timeline of events and his relationship with the Crumbleys, Dass told WWJ. The sheriff's office says it executed the search warrant shortly after speaking with Sikora.

"The issue for Detectives is what did Sikora know and when did he know it," the sheriff's office said in a press release Monday night.

“Mr. Sikora is very confident in his story. I’m very confident in what happened,” Dass said. “And I believe that at the end of this, they’re going to conclude that he really had no involvement with the Crumbleys.”

The attorney said he and Sikora were both aware of the "routine search warrant" before it was executed and they were fully cooperative.

While the investigation continues, the exact relationship between the artist and the parents is not clear and officials have not said what led them to his studio, though reports say he was photographed next to a mural at a bar in Oxford. The photo, which appeared in an Oxford Leader story earlier this year, was attributed to "Jehn Crumbley," a name Jennifer Crumbley reportedly used professionally.

Following Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald’s announcement of charges against the parents on Friday, authorities said they could not immediately locate the parents on Friday afternoon and began a manhunt. Police received a tip around 10 p.m. Friday and set up a perimeter around the building.

Police eventually arrested the Crumbleys and on Sunday Dass identified Sikora as the owner of the studio, saying after learning of their arrest his client immediately contacted the Detroit Police Department and Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

“He maintains his innocence throughout this process and is fully cooperating with law enforcement to assist in their investigation,” Dass said Sunday.
