Police investigate death in north Springfield neighborhood

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Police are investigating a homicide at a home in north Springfield.
Officers responded Monday afternoon just before 4 p.m. to the 2200 block of North Marion for a shots fired call. When officer arrived, they found a deceased person inside the home.
Officers on scene tell KY3 a person of interest was identified immediately. Police spoke with a witness and then found a suspect on scene. Officers say the witness helped identify the suspect, who was then apprehended and taken into custody.
Investigators have not released any information on the victim.
