Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan has entered the COVID-19 health and safety protocols. He was just the NBA's player of the week in the Eastern Conference after averaging 30 points in a 3-0 week for the Bulls.

This is a tough blow for the Bulls as they were trying to lock up as high of a seed as they possibly can in the Eastern Conference. They also have a tough schedule coming up including the Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Miami Heat. It's going to be tough for the Bulls to win these games, but Zach LaVine has looked like one of the best players in the NBA this season and he's going to make sure the Bulls compete.

It is unclear how long DeRozan will be out but he is definitely going to miss the game on Monday night as the Bulls take on the Nuggets. In order for DeRozan to come back, he needs two consecutive negative PCR tests in 24 hours, or be isolated for at least 10 days.

The Bulls have been playing some great basketball this season as they are 16-8 and second in the Eastern Conference. Many of the team's success can be put on the way that DeMar DeRozan has played so far. He currently leads the team in scoring at 26.4 points per game which is best for fourth in the entire NBA.

He will surely be missed for the Bulls, but luckily they have another star who can pick up his slack.
