PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman and her two cousins admitted to fatally shooting a 20-year-old Abington woman while she was sitting in a car in Olney. The victim was caught in the crossfire intended for her boyfriend.

Prosecutors say Andrea Myers was in the front seat of a car along Westford Road, near Tabor Road, in October 2018 when two men jumped out of another car and fired nearly two dozen shots.

Two bullets struck the 20-year-old — one in the chest, one in the left arm — and she died at the hospital.

Investigators linked defendants Lekita, Tyrone and Dolores McDuffie to the crime.

They say Lekita McDuffie believed Myers’ boyfriend was “shooting up” her house, stemming from another murder that was linked to a friend of her baby’s father. And, officials say, Lekita McDuffie got her cousins, Tyrone and Dolores McDuffie, who are siblings, to help her get revenge.

They planned to shoot Myers’ boyfriend but shot Myers instead.

Prosecutors told the judge they had video, cellphone and social media evidence, including messages in Lekita McDuffie’s Instagram account threatening Myers’ boyfriend.

All three pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and related offenses. They will be sentenced in February.
