Heatherington has been placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
According to the report, Heatherington was a close contact, rather than a positive test, so he could be an option in the near future though he'll miss over versus New Jersey on Monday. In four appearances for the Sens this season, the 26-year-old blueliner has yet to get his name on the scoresheet and shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value even once cleared to play.
