Firefighters were called to the home on South Branch Sunday afternoon.
They were able to put out the fire but not before it caused a lot of damage to the house.
Even though it didn't look like anyone could have survived that fire, firefighters said they heard a dog bark from inside the house.
Firefighters from Harrison and Colerain Township worked to get the dog safely out through a window.
There was a round of applause for the rescue. The dog was treated with oxygen.
Firefighters were able to save the homes on either side, which had already been damaged.
