Los Angeles, CA

Kanye West and Drake’s Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert is set to take over the Los Angeles Coliseum on Thursday night (December 9). Following Ye and Drake reuniting after months of feuding, construction has begun on the intricate stage design with aerial footage captured by CBS Los Angeles on Sunday (December 5).

A construction crew was seen hard at work building a mound-like structure at the center of the Coliseum field. Reporter John Schreiber speculated that surrounding the wooden mound looked to be sand mixed with concrete or stucco. He even joked that he initially thought it was a monster truck rally set-up.

The stage design is reminiscent of the platform Kanye West had built at Soldier Field in Chicago where he remade his childhood home before lighting himself on fire inside it at the third Donda listening party in August.

Tickets for Kanye and Drake’s Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert are still available over at Ticketmaster with select options available for $50 plus fees. Prices range up to VIP packages going for above $1,000.

Ye and Drizzy squashed their longstanding beef in November after a meet-up at Drake’s Toronto mansion orchestrated by Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince.

Prior to the armistice, Kanye extended an olive branch to the 6 God, calling for them to come together for a December 9 concert to help highlight the incarceration of former Gangster Disciples leader Larry Hoover, with hopes of him regaining his freedom after more than four decades behind bars.
