Event raises $10,000 more than original goal

Runners got into the holiday spirit Sunday morning, all for a good cause. More than 100 people dressed up in their best outfits for the "Jingle Bell Run" at Delta Dental Stadium.Money raised from the festive event goes toward the Arthritis Foundation. "The treatments today, the disease modifying drugs for rheumatoid arthritis and modern hip and knee replacement surgeries are truly transformative for people. And changes like this don’t come without the funding that events like this lead to," said Dr. Niel Dion of Concord Orthopedics who ran in the race.In total, Sunday's race raised more than $41,000, exceeding their goal by more than $10,000.
