The Miami Dolphins extended their winning streak to five games with the convincing 20-9 home victory over the New York Giants in Week 13.

As was the case in the Dolphins’ past four games, second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the way for Miami as he anchored four scoring drives. For one, he connected with wide receiver Isaiah Ford for a 2-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter that opened up a double-digit lead for Miami and essentially put the game away.

Even as the Dolphins have continued to gradually emerge as a dark horse contender for a wild-card spot in the AFC, Tagovailoa still sees plenty of room for improvement with his team, which he touched on after the contest.

“I’m glad we won, but I think there are a lot of things we left out there on the field,” Tagovailoa said.

Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker made a long-awaited return to action in this matchup after a stint on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury. Parker hauled in five receptions for 62 receiving yards on the day, as he once again had keen chemistry with the former Alabama Crimson Tide passer.

Tagovailoa noted that Parker brings an extra dimension to Miami's offensive attack.

“It was really good to have DeVante (Parker) back,” Tagovailoa said. “DeVante adds another vertical stretch for us offensively, and he makes tough catches when you need him to, so really glad to have him back.”

The Dolphins are set for their bye week coming up in Week 14, but then they will have a golden opportunity to move back to the .500 mark with a possible win over the New York Jets in Week 15.
