On Sunday, Baltimore City Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by gunfire in west Baltimore.
At about 12:38 p.m., Western District patrol officers heard gunfire and saw people running from the 2900 block of Parkwood Avenue.
When patrol officers arrived at the location and discovered a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics responded to the scene and took the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival. Homicide investigators have assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives , at 410-396-2100.
