There have been several changes to the third generation of Tundra. Let's begin with the power plant. The 5.7-liter V-8 has been replaced with a 389 horsepower twin-turbo V-8 with 479 pound-feet of torque. Another change is the hybrid powertrain, with 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
The transmission sports a 10-speed automatic and a revised suspension. Previous generations offered rear leaf springs, but that's been replaced by a coil-spring multilink that will deliver a more comfortable ride.
The interior also has an optional 14.0-inch infotainment system, which is the biggest screen available in a pickup today.
The Tundra has only been on the market for a few decades, but it has accomplished in those few decades what other trucks have taken 50 years or more to accomplish. Its reliability and power make it a top choice among truck owners in the U.S. for good reason.
