Celtic lost to Rangers in the league, but beat them in the SWPL Cup semi-final, before getting the better of champions Glasgow City in the final.

Rangers currently lead the title race, with City two behind and Celtic five off them.

For now, Celtic become the first team outside City or Hibernian to win a trophy since they last did it in 2010.

Celtic manager Fran Alonso tells BBC Alba: "I'm absolutely delighted, it's a very magic day. I thought we controlled the game, had so many chances, but the most important thing is we got the win.

"We were fighting for every ball. I'm so proud of the girls. Silverware is amazing.

"We beat the best teams in the country to win the trophy."

Kelly Clark has waited a long time as Celtic captain to get her hands on a trophy.

You can't say Celtic didn't deserve it.

Apart from a brief flurry from Glasgow City, Celtic very much dominated the 90 minutes and could well have won by more than one goal. Caitlin Hayes' first half header was enough in the end though.

A fantastic performance from Fran Alonso, who wins his first trophy since arriving in Scotland.

Just under 20 minutes to go, Glasgow City have yet to find an answer.

Celtic are knocking the ball around confidently and are creating the better chances.

But Glasgow City, who have 39 league goals this season, always score. It's been a long time since they failed to score domestically. Surely they're not going to draw a blank today.

However, they didn't score the last time they were in the SWPL Cup final - that one ended 0-0 and Hibs won it on penalties.

Glasgow City need to get Ode Fulutudilu on the ball more, she's the one who looks like she can make something happen.
