The collaboration pack will see characters like Brad dressed as Ichiban and Akira as Kiryu. Other notable examples include a Goromi outfit for Sarah Bryant, a Saejima outfit for Wolf Hawkfield, and an Adachi outfit for Jeffry McWild. Chief Producer Seiji Aoki states that many of the original Yakuza designers created the collaboration costumes, and are perfect recreations of the originals.

In addition to the Yakuza costumes, the collaboration pack will feature around 650 character customization items and 19 different costume types. Some customization items from past Virtua Fighter titles will be making a comeback. Furthermore, it will also include 20 arranged tracks from Virtua Fighter 3.

The Legendary DLC pack included retro character outfits from the original Virtua Fighter, as well as classic stages. Back in July 2021, Sega also conducted a survey asking players about their preferred netcode.

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is immediately available on the PS4. The Yakuza collaboration DLC pack will release in North America on December 7, 2021, and Europe on December 8, 2021. It will cost $9.99.
