Carvajal was one of the key men in a defence that kept a clean sheet against the Real Sociedad attack.&nbsp; The Spanish fullback made sure the right side of the defence was impenetrable, winning one on one contests and making recovering tackles when the counter-attack was on.

The Brazilian put in a good performance in the defensive midfield role, especially when he had to be mindful that a yellow card would have seen him being suspended for the Madrid derby next week. He did however make sure he made the big tackles on the Sociedad danger men when necessary, and also managed to get an assist on the night.

Casemiro - 7.83

Things for Jovic at Real Madrid haven’t been great with him only playing 73 minutes in LaLiga all season. He came off the bench to replace the injured Benzema and made sure his impact was felt.&nbsp;The Serbian setup Vinicius Jr for the opening goal by showing massive strength in the box to shield the ball from the defencers and lay it off to the winger. He also got himself on the score sheet by throwing his body at the ball to head it in for Real Madrid’s second.

Luka Jovic - 8.06

This was by far Militao’s best performance in a Real Madrid shirt in the league this season. He made some crucial tackles, threw his body at the ball to block the shots and also won every aerial battle he was in. He made 10 blocks, two interceptions and created a big chance for Vinicius which was not converted. The young Brazilian defender is certainly coming into his own alongside David Alaba.

Eder Militao - 8.39

It was another great evening for Vinicius who was causing all sorts of problems for the Real Sociedad defence. He showed a lot of character and maturity in his decision making, used his pace and skill to beat defenders and made his contribution felt in the defence as well.&nbsp;He finished the move he started with a great link-up play between him and Jovic to put Real Madrid ahead.
