Jon Jones has made a shocking claim when quizzed to share his real thoughts about his possible UFC earnings.

Since making his debut in the UFC in August of 2008, Jon Jones reportedly made around the region of $7,230,000 career earnings. However, many have been claiming that “Bones” should have pocketed way more than that if it wasn't for UFC president Dana White.

It can be recalled that Jones, as well as other UFC fighters have already accused the famed MMA promotion of underpaying its fighters, including champions.

Revealing his take on the subject when asked by a fan on social media, Jones reckoned that he can't call it “robbery” as he was aware that White and the UFC were stealing money from him. Unfortunately, he just can't do anything about it at the time.

“It’s really not robbery if you let someone do it, I wasn’t equipped for the position I was in,” Jones wrote on Twitter.

Some fans are not convinced that Jones was robbed by the UFC as he was the one responsible for it. According to another fan, the 34-year-old could've been “as rich as Conor McGregor if he didn’t keep on messing up.”

This has prompted the former UFC light heavyweight champion to reveal that he once turned down a “$80,000” monthly salary offer from a Hennessy “sister company,” implying that messing up is different from taking a “different journey.”

“Hennessey has a sister company, liquor company,” he replied. “They offered me $80,000 a month some years ago to represent their brand. I turned it down. We are all on different journeys my guy.”
