KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna Mayor Tony Penterman announced Saturday that he will run for re-election in April 2022.

In an Instagram post, Penterman said he is circulating nomination papers.

The election will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022, with a primary if necessary on Tuesday Feb. 15, 2022.

The first day to circulate nomination papers was December 1, 2021, and the final day for filing nomination papers in the office of the City Clerk is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

In addition to mayor, offices up for election include:

Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education, three seats are up for three year terms.

The incumbents are Chad Berken, Christine Bouressa and Kathryne Breitzman.

Larry Coons announced Saturday that he will run for school board.

“Let’s get back to education instead of indoctrination. Let’s let parents decide about masks and medical freedom,” Coons wrote in a news release.

Alderperson, for the term of two years, currently held by Jennie Eggleston, Ald. Dist. No. 1, Wards 1, 2, and 3, whose term will expire on April 18, 2022.

Alderperson, for the term of two years, currently held by John Moore, Ald. Dist. No. 2, Wards 4, and 5, whose term will expire on April 18, 2022.

Alderperson, for the term of two years, currently held by Mary Jo Kilgas, Ald. Dist. No. 3, Wards 6 and 7, whose term will expire on April 18, 2022.

Alderperson, for the term of two years, currently held by Mike Coenen, Ald. Dist. No. 4, Wards 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, whose term will expire on April 18, 2022.

City Attorney, for the term of two years. Kevin Davidson’s term expires on April 30, 2022.

The polls for the election will be as follows: 
FIRST AND SECOND ALDERMANIC DISTRICTS will be in the Council Chambers, Municipal Services Building, 144 W. Second Street.
THIRD AND FOURTH ALDERMANIC DISTRICTS in the Community Room of the Street, Park, and Recreation (SPAR) Building, 207 Reaume Ave., Kaukauna. 

The polls will open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M. on Election Day.
