Oklahoma State had a replay go against them vs. Baylor and it may have sunk their College Football Playoff hopes.

Baylor quarterback Blake Shapen was under duress by Collin Oliver and attempted to throw the ball away before he was sacked.

Shapen was initially called for intentional grounding but upon further review, the call was upheld and Oklahoma State was denied recovering an attempted lateral.

If the play was overturned, Oklahoma State would have recovered the ball and denied Baylor a chance from adding to their 14-3 lead.

Did Oklahoma State get robbed by the officials vs. Baylor?

It doesn’t look like the pass is going forward. Does it look like it’s going backward though?

Baylor has dominated the game in the first half but if the call was overturned, momentum would have swung to give the Pokes a chance to trim the deficit before halftime.

As a result of the call standing, Baylor scored a touchdown two plays later on a 13-yard Shapen touchdown to Tyquan Thornton to make it a 21-3 game with 5:29 remaining in the first half.

The call and subsequent touchdown could be a back-breaker for Mike Gundy’s team seeking it’s first Big 12 Championship Game victory and securing a berth in the College Football Playoff.

If the score holds, Baylor will win the Big 12 and have a faint hope of making the playoff if Michigan, Alabama and Cincinnati lose later today.
