The magical run of the Phoenix Suns has ended at 18 wins after a Friday night loss to the Golden State Warriors. But All-Star Chris Paul is far from discouraged.

The Suns point guard was asked about the end of their historic win streak at the hands of Stephen Curry and Co. But instead of dwelling on the defeat, the 17-year NBA veteran decided to look ahead.

Via Duane Rankin:

“Hell, let's start a new one,” said the Suns star after the game. “It was a lot fun. It's been a long time since we felt a loss.”

There's no shame in losing to the Golden State Warriors in their home arena. But the fact that Devin Booker was out and the Suns had beaten the very same Warriors just a few days prior probably took the sting off of the loss quite a bit.

The epic 18-game win streak gives the Suns a seven-game lead for one of the top four seeds and home-court advantage, which is about as far as you can get this early in the season.

The two-game tussle between the Warriors and Suns could very well be a Western Conference Finals preview. Thankfully we'll get to see Stephen Curry and Chris Paul go at it yet again during Christmas Day.
