LA Crush of Los Alamos recently took 2nd place in the 14U Division at the Gobble ’Til You Wobble USSSA Fastpitch Tournament in Albuquerque.

LA Crush has been playing in USSSA tournaments since 2018. They started at 11U and have moved up as the core group of girls have grown.

Coaches Heath Wade, Met Haynes and April Wade wanted to create a program that primarily focused on the girls who attend Los Alamos schools and give them the opportunity to play at a high level of competition.

The team has played across the state and traveled to Arizona. Head Coach Heath Wade focuses on the girls’ character on and off the field.

“We strive to teach the girls life lessons through the sport of softball,” he said. “We would like to thank all the parents, sponsors, Los Alamos County, Frank Montoya and the Adult Softball Association for always supporting the girls.”
