OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that the team will host its rescheduled Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night on Tuesday, Dec. 7, when the N.Y. Islanders visit Ottawa at 7 p.m.

The league-wide initiative, which is held annually at a home game in November, required a rescheduling after the team's game on Saturday, Nov. 20, was postponed due to a recent covid-19-related outbreak which affected several of its players.
On Tuesday, "I Fight for" cards will be available to fans entering Canadian Tire Centre while large "I Fight For" backdrops will be set up at some of the venue's gates allowing fans to use for photos. Senators players will wear Hockey Fights Cancer warmup jerseys that will be signed and available via auction in support of the Ottawa Integrated Cancer Centre's Bryan Murray Legacy Fund at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario among other initiatives before and during the game.
Leading up to and at Tuesday's game, the Senators will donate proceeds from the Senators Community Foundation's 50-50 lottery to cancer-related charities including:
Dec. 4 vs. Colorado - Canadian Blood Services in memory of Brian Fraser
The proceeds from Saturday's 50-50 draw will be donated to Canadian Blood Services in memory of Brian Fraser in support of patients across Canada. Fraser was a strong advocate for blood donation, a passionate Senators fan and News Talk 580 CFRA producer who lost his battle with leukemia last February at the age of 26. His significant social media efforts in support of blood donation drew national attention.
Tickets for Saturday's draw are on-sale now via www.5050sens.com and will also be available at Canadian Tire Centre through the game's second intermission.
Dec. 7 vs. NY Islanders - The Terry Fox Foundation and CHEO's Profyle Program
Tickets for Tuesday's 50-50 draw will be availble via www.5050sens.com beginning on Sunday at 9 a.m. through Tuesday's second intermission at Canadian Tire Centre and will see proceeds donated to the Terry Fox Foundation and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in support of the Profyle Program. PROFYLE connects a Canada-wide collaborative network of more than 30 pediatric cancer research and funding organizations with an aim of providing children and young people the best chance to beat cancer by way of molecular and genetic analysis and ensuing treatments.
To date, the Senators 50-50 draw has awarded more than $250,000 in prize money this season.
