This one was tough to hammer the Celtics on.
Ime Udoka's team dropped a 137-130 decision to the Jazz, with Utah finishing with the most three-pointers made against the Celtics of any team in C's history (27). The three-point barrage - which included a 52 percent success rate - topped the previous high set by a Celtics opponent which came last season against Atlanta (23).
The Jazz's Mike Conley went 7-for-7 from beyond the stripe, while Brewster Academy alum Donovan Mitchell made six of his 14 three-point attempts.
Simply put, this is what one of the best offenses in the NBA does. No team in league makes more three-pointers per game than Utah, with only Charlotte averaging more points.
They move the ball and they make three's. (Dare to dream, Celtics fans.)
In defense of the C's this time around, they were once again living life without Jaylen Brown, leaving Jayson Tatum to carry the offensive load while the Jazz were totaling six players in double-figures.
Tatum did his job, putting in 37 points, with Dennis Schroder also stepping up with 26. But ultimate pat-on-the-back should once again go to the resurgent Al Horford, who finished with 21 points.
Horford took more shots that any time this season, going 8-of-15 from the field. That's because he needed to. And that's been the 35-year-old's mantra thus far this season, doing whatever is needed.
Unfortunately for the 12-11 Celtics, it wasn't enough.
