Everton fans appeared to try and PUNCH Mohamed Salah during the Merseyside Derby midweek.

Salah was on top form as Liverpool comfortably defeated their arch-rivals at Goodison Park, with the Egyptian having netted a brilliant brace.

It’s no secret that Salah is not a particularly popular figure among the Everton fanbase. He is Liverpool’s star performer, after all.

However, that’s absolutely no excuse to swing for him as he came within touching distance of the fans while chasing a wayward ball.

Salah was sprinting at such a speed that he was not able to stop himself before coming inches away from the Everton fans.

The 29-year-old was fortunate not to have been hurt, with a small number of Everton fans having been caught on camera appearing to try and punch him.

You can see the clip below – and it’s pretty evident that the intentions of the Toffees supporters were not good.
