PASADENA – The Harvard-Westlake boys basketball team will face off with Cajon in the Rose City Roundball Classic final at Maranatha High Saturday night at 8 p.m.

No. 2 Harvard-Westlake beat South Pasadena 78-42 in the semifinal thanks to 20 points from Cameron Thrower and 14 from Brady Dunlap.

No.8-ranked Oak Park was close to meeting the Wolverines in the final, but fell to Cajon in the other semifinal 40-37. The Eagles were up 26-20 at halftime.

Alemany 69, Maranatha 67 (2OT): Senior Nico Ponce scored 35 points, including the game-winning layup with five seconds left in the second overtime. Mikah Ballew added 17 in the win.

Notre Dame 89, Campbell Hall 61: Dusty Stromer poured in 29 points and Ben Shtolzberg added 27 in the rout.

Viewpoint 73, Chaminade 56: Giovanni Goree led the Patriots with 20 points, and Dylan Hoyt pitched in 17. Viewpoint is 6-1.

Taft 52, Bakersfield Centennial 50: Isaiah Lewis led the Toreadors with 19 points.

Granada Hills Charter 58, Kennedy 39: Khalil Forrester had 16 pints in the win.

St. Francis 62, Rocklin Whitney 42: Jake Golberg led the way with 17 points. Jackson Mosley tallied 15 points and five rebounds.

Calabasas 63, Calexico 35: Gavin Murphy had 25 points for the Coyotes.

El Camino Real 52, Providence 44: Clark Holden led ECR with 18 points.

Van Nuys 65, Cleveland 34: Andrew Angulo led the Wolves with 27 points.

Sun Valley Poly 50, St. Bonaventure 41: Nicolas Romeo Mendoza led the Parrots with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Westlake 63, Oxnard 55: River Ortiz led the Warriors with 23 points and five rebounds. Kayden Elsokary added 14 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sierra Canyon finished its trip to the McDonald’s Classic in El Paso, Tex. 4-0 after two wins Friday, taking down New Hope Academy (MD) in overtime, 65-64, before beating Princeton (TX) in the championship game, 63-42.

Juju Watkins had 30 points (including the game-winner) in the win over New Hope, then had 33 in the tournament final.
