Every hitman will eventually develop empathy for the target one way or another. Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz star in the hitman thriller Red Stone in a hitman chase that ends with an ultimate showdown.

The film also stars Mike Dopud, Dominic Scott Kay, and Dash Melrose. Derek Presley directed and wrote the movie.

Here is the official synopsis: A dangerous hitman (Neal McDonough) is tasked with hunting down a teenager who witnessed the murder of his older brother at the hands of a ruthless Southern crime lord (Michael Cudlitz). The hired gun must track down the boy before either the rival henchmen or the FBI find him first. As the hours tick down, the hitman begins to question his deadly ways and must choose which side he belongs to.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with actors Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz on this film. They discussed working together and finding a project at the height of the pandemic.

Neal McDonough is a prolific actor with the talent to play characters across different genres. He is known for playing Lieutenant Lynn “Buck” Compton in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, Deputy District Attorney David McNorris in Boomtown, Robert Quarles in Justified, and Dave Williams in ABC’s Desperate Housewives. He has appeared in several notable films, including Star Trek: First Contact, Minority Report, Walking Tall, Flags of Our Fathers, Red 2, The Marine 3: Homefront, The Hitcher, Paul  Blart: Mall Cop 2, and as Dum Dum Dugan in many Marvel films. Most recently, he appeared as Damien Darhk on CW’s Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, as well as Malcolm Beck on Yellowstone.

Michael Cudlitz is known for playing John Cooper in TNT’s Southland, in which he won the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2013. Also, he played Sergeant Denver “Bull” Randleman in HBO’s Band of Brothers and Sergeant Abraham Ford in AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Red Stone is available today in select theaters, VOD, and digital download.
