Allina Health Aetna rolls out four new health plans

Aetna and Minneapolis-based Allina Health's insurance joint venture is launching four new plans targeting employers and self-insured customers.

The joint venture's four new offerings include two employer plans, which are offered to mid-sized companies — one with a straightforward benefit structure and advertised double-digit savings, and another with streamlined benefit management and a refund system for years when member medical costs are low, according to a Dec. 2 news release

The other two plans include an Upfront Advantage Plan that provides members with $500 or $1,000 in immediate coverage, and a Flexible Five Plan that completely covers five medical visits before meeting a member's deductible.

"We're proud and excited to offer our members a wider variety of products to prioritize their health," said Bob Wieland, CMO of Allina Health Aetna. "To support our members and their evolving needs, we've created four new flexible and personalized product plans designed to increase financial savings and expand access to affordable health care options."
