Did ITZY Ryujin Date NCT Haechan?

Rumors that ITZY member Ryujin and NCT member Haechan started making their rounds online in May 2021. On May 20, Haechan held a solo live stream on Naver's V Live to chat with his fans. Haechan decided to open the V Live application through his iPad as he was streaming.

However, when the screen showed up, it was revealed he only followed two accounts on the platform — NCT and ITZY. When he realized that his iPad screen was visible to the camera, he appeared flustered and attempted to cover the screen.

Since then, internet users have been on the hunt for evidence that the two are romantically linked. People soon discovered that the two idols owned the same or similar items. Therefore, these were assumed to be couple items. In South Korea, it is a trend among couples to have matching items, such as rings, sweaters and more.

Haechan and Ryujin were seen with similar iPhone cases, Bluetooth headphones, watches, Adidas clothing, and more.

When the rumors were making their rounds, ITZY was promoting "Mafia in the Morning." At the time, the girls appeared on several programs. During one appearance on a show, the ITZY members revealed that Ryujin has suddenly gotten interested in dressing up and making up. The members expressed curiosity about why Ryujin took up more time with her appearance.

At the time, Ryujin stated that she realized buying clothes was more fun than she thought. However, people speculated that she was interested in looking more dolled up for her boyfriend, Haechan.

Neither SM Entertainment (NCT's agency) nor JYP Entertainment (ITZY's agency) released a statement on the rumors.

As of the time of writing, ITZY member Ryujin is not confirmed to be dating anybody. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the "WANNABE" rapper is single.

However, she has revealed her ideal type!

Someone had asked the idol about her ideal type during a live stream. Though she was shocked by the question, she responded. She stated that she wants to date someone who is a good match for her. This may seem vague, but it appears she wants someone with a similar personality to her. That would be someone who is strong, both mentally and physically, hard-working, energetic, enthusiastic, and open-minded!
