Pavement progress on Bagley bridge
ALPENA, Mich. — We have an exciting development in this week’s bridge update.
Crews working on the Bagley Street bridge paved the approach with temporary asphalt this week. That means the road is now level with the bridge, bringing us one step closer to a winter opening.
Road Commission Managing Director Ryan Brege told WBKB their next task is short–term signage.
Supply chain problems and soil issues delayed the bridge’s original November completion.
However, crews hope to open two lanes by winter to ease the traffic load on the detour
