Since 1996 the Lee Pesky Learning Center is bringing accessible learning to both families and school districts in the Treasure Valley.

Whether that's professional development, academic evaluations, interventions, coaching or counseling.

Creating pathways to learning, for all levels and even multiple languages!

"Our Pathways to Learning Program was created to help children who speak Spanish to provide opportunities in terms of literacy and instruction that is very explicit and structured," Cristianne Lane, Director of the Lee Pesky Learning Center explains. "So they can get off to the best start possible."

This program which began in Hailey has expanded due to it's success.

With hands on resources for both students, parents and even teachers.

"We have a variety of departments here, we have a clinical department, that works with students assessing learning disabilities," Director Lane explains. "And we have our counseling department and we have our learning specialists that work with students one-on-one. And then there is the training team, and I am apart of the trainging team and we are out in the community working with organizations and school districts."

The Lee Pesky Learning Center is fine tuning hands-on learning to create the building blocks for well rounded, successful students.

And that's not all.

"These are some of the learning mats that CapEd has helped us develop for families," Director Lane explains. "We have an alphabet mat, a rhyming mat and the latest is on social and emotional learning because more students that are really struggling with anxiety and helping them identify their feelings and having conversations about those feelings."

These learning mats are just one of many learning items shown to help students both with learning and emotional regulation.
