A Lorain native has a chance to make the deal of a lifetime.

Rashan “Shawn” Moye, 45, is competing on “America’s Big Deal,” a competition series where entrepreneurs from across the U.S. have the opportunity to sell their ready-made products live, on-air to home viewers.

Moye will feature his invention, the E-Sports Trainer.

The show, on the USA Network, is hosted by inventor and former Home Shopping Network host Joy Mangano.

Each week, entrepreneurs take the stage for a product pitch, and the person with the highest dollar sales at the end of the show will win a chance to make a deal with either QVC, HSN, Lowe’s or Macy’s.

The episode will debut at 9 p.m., Dec. 9, on the USA Network.

“I’m so excited,” Moye said. “It’s surreal.

“I keep remembering the long nights during the process, and it all feels worth it.”

The E-Sports Trainer is a tool developed to assist sports players with proper technique and muscle memory.

The advanced technology allows users to choose between seven different languages while monitoring, tracking and correcting performance in real time for the sport of choice.

Elijah Moye, the inspiration behind the product, demonstrates usage.

Moye said his inspiration came from his son’s basketball journey.

“I used to send my son to a lot of specialty training camps and it was so expensive, but I didn’t know if my money was well spent,” he said. “This product tracks progress and users can see if they’re trending in the right direction or not.”

Moye said he has been developing the product for nearly 15 years.

“Growing up, I never knew anyone who patented anything and never had a lot of money growing up,” he said. “So, being able to go from that to where I am now, I’m speechless to have this opportunity.”

Moye said he hopes everyone from his hometown will support him.

“I would like for everyone to support me, especially by buying the product,” he said. “I think it’s important to support people from your hometown who are doing positive things.”

He said his goal is to bring opportunities back to Lorain.

“I’d lived in both Elyria and Lorain, and I love my home,” Moye said. “It’s always been a goal of mine to bring jobs to Lorain County, and this is the start of that.”

He said he encourages everyone to tune into the show for a special surprise.

“There is a code inside one of the boxes for those who purchase on the night of the show, or using the QR code I will place on social media,” Moye said. “It’ll include a raffle that will give one lucky winner $500.”
