New Promo Spot for SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Changes a Line of Dialogue From Doctor Strange

Another promo spot for Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released, and we’re going to see a lot more of them as we get closer to the release of the film.

The spot offers a few bits of new footage, and it also changes a key line of dialogue from Doctor Strange. There’s a quote from the other trailers that has been changed for this one, and I thought that was interesting.

In the previous trailers, when Peter Parker comes to Doctor Strange in order to cast a spell that allows everyone to forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Peter interrupts and something goes wrong mid-spell. Doctor Strange explained to Peter in one of the trailers, "Ever since you botched that spell where everyone forgets that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, we started getting visitors."

In the new promo, this bit of dialogue is adjusted and now Doctor Strange explains to Peter, "When I shut that spell down... we started getting visitors."

I doesn’t seem like a big deal because it’s clear to me that this whole situation could be both things. Strange obviously had to shut down the spell because Peter botched it.

I just can’t wait to watch the movie already to see how this whole story plays out.

In the movie, “for the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

The movie also stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx as Electro. Other villains set to appear include Sandman and Lizard, we just don’t know what actors are playing those roles. Other cast members include Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.

The Jon Watts-directed film is to to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021. I also include an IMAX poster for you to check out below.
