On Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles Official Injury report ahead of their game this Sunday versus the New York Jets leaves everyone with some real questions heading into NFL Week 13:

There has been the presumption all week that Jordan Howard would be ruled out for the game versus the Jets and that the Eagles would sit him out until after the Bye Week to ensure his availability for the stretch run of NFC East games in December and January.  The absence of Jordan Howard along with the Boston Scott listed as Questionable leaves the Eagles backfield thin with the only Running Backs left on the Active Roster are Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.  On the Practice Squad is Jason Huntley but that is a "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" option if Boston Scott cannot play versus the Jets.  Boston Scott has not practiced this week due to what the team is calling "Illness" which only means he doesn't have COVID-19 because then he would be placed on the COVID protocols list.  Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni spoke about Scott at today's press conference:

The other player listed as Questionable is starting Quarterback Jalen Hurts.  Hurts has consistently said all week he expects to play this Sunday versus the New York Jets.  But considering he did not look like himself in the Eagles loss to the Giants combined with the lack of running by the Mobile Quarterback and his inability to drive off his back foot on medium to deep passes, it will be interesting to see what the Eagles do if Hurts does play on Sunday.  Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni continues to the "Wait and See" approach with his starting Quarterback as we get closer to the deadline this weekend when the team has to make their final roster moves before they kick off on Sunday:

I have never been a fan of Football Head Coaches playing this game where they are being vague about their starting quarterback situation.  We have seen other Head Coaches do this too like Saints' Sean Payton and Eagles former HC Doug Pederson.  If Jalen Hurts is not able to be mobile, how does that change Nick Sirianni's play calling?  How does that impact Hurts' decision-making?  A lot of questions to be answered on the Eagles offense this Sunday in North Jersey.
