Athanasiou (not injury related) has cleared the NHL's COVID-19 protocols and practiced with the team Friday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
Athanasiou missed the club's prior four games while in the COVID-19 protocols. The 27-year-old has appeared in a mere eight contests this year, tallying two goals and three helpers.
