Bixby Public Schools said an airsoft gun was found on one of its buses Thursday morning.

The district sent the following letter to staff and the families of secondary students last night:

The district was made aware earlier this morning of a potential safety issue on a BPS bus yesterday afternoon involving an airsoft gun which has now been obtained by local law enforcement. The district is currently working with BPD to thoroughly investigate the situation. All students, staff and school sites are safe.
