Gadsden State offering ACT Prep courses

Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering ACT Prep Courses covering four core subjects – English, reading, math and science.  Classes will meet at the Cardinal Tutoring Center located in the Inzer Student Engagement Center on the Wallace Drive Campus.  Evening sessions will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Dec. 6-9 with a different core subject taught each evening.  Registration cost is $99 for all four hours of instruction or $30 per evening class.  Once a student registers, a confirmation email will be sent containing instructions and items needed for the class. Gadsden State to host Cardinal Days in December

Gadsden, Ala. — Gadsden State Community College is hosting Cardinal Days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Dec. 14 and 15. Evening advisement will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 15.  Current students and potential students will receive face-to-face assistance through the advising and registration process. Cardinal Days will take place in the multipurpose room at the One Stop Center on the East Broad Campus, in the auditorium at the Learning Resource Center on the Ayers Campus and in the Library at Gadsden State Cherokee. Spring Semester 2022 registration underway at Gadsden State

Gadsden, Ala.– Registration at Gadsden State Community College for spring semester is underway through Jan. 13, 2022.  Classes begin Jan. 7 for the full spring semester and Mini 1 term.   Visit gadsdenstate.edu and click on “OneACCS” at the top of the page to begin the registration process. To be admitted, go to gadsdenstate.edu/apply.  For more information regarding admission or registration, email admissions@gadsdenstate.edu.

Gadsden State Cherokee to offer Hybrid Advantage

Centre, Ala. — Gadsden State Cherokee is home to three new programs at the Centre campus. The College is now offering Child Development, Health Information Technology Management and Massage Therapy, all in a hybrid format. The programs begin this spring. Massage Therapy Clinics offered at Gadsden State     

Gadsden, Ala.– Gadsden State Community College’s Massage Therapy Program  is offering student clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays for faculty, staff, students and the community in Prater Hall, Room 200 on the Valley Street Campus.  Massage therapy appointment times are 9 to 10 a.m., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m.  The cost is $25 an hour. Call 256-549-8326 in advance to schedule an appointment or leave a message with contact information so that appointments can be confirmed. Gift certificates for hourly massages are also available. The Massage Therapy Program is approved by the State of Alabama Board of Massage Therapy and is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation.

Gadsden State A Cappella Choir and Singers Christmas tour dates

Gadsden, Ala.— The Gadsden State Community College A Cappella Choir and Singers will be singing at many community events and churches during its annual Christmas Tour.  The highlight of the tour is the Community Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at First Methodist of Gadsden.  It is free and open to the public. They are under the direction of J.T. Harrell. Other performance dates are Dec. 9 at Gadsden Rotary Club and 6:00 p.m. Dec. 19 at White Springs Baptist Church.
