Patriots re-sign rookie kicker Quinn Nordin to practice squad

Patriots rookie kicker Quinn Nordin has cleared waivers and has re-signed to their practice squad, Bill Belichick confirmed on Friday.
Nordin was placed on injured reserve after suffering an abdomen injury in Week 2 and had been designated to return this week before he was waived. The undrafted rookie impressed in training camp but ultimately lost the starting job to Nick Folk, who’s having a career season at 37 years old. The veteran has been dealing with a knee injury all season, so Nordin provides valuable depth behind him.
