For 67 years UCP Central PA has been providing support for people of all ability levels with a variety of diagnoses and conditions.
The non-profit empowers people of diverse abilities to live a meaningful life through innovative support and services.
It’s something UCP senior communications specialist Lynda Bowmen is passionate about.
“My child received services when she was little. she received speech therapy services. She never uttered a word and then 6 months later it was like, she's never stopped since. And she's 20 now," said Bowmen.
Bowmen said UCP impacts individual lives and the lives of families every day.
"It’s a way of knowing everyone, everyone has an ability. Everyone deserves the opportunity to showcase their ability and I think we help make that happen," she said.
